Care Guide

Product Care Guide

At Linear Living, our textiles are crafted using high-quality natural fibers designed to offer long-lasting softness, absorbency, and comfort. Proper care ensures your bedroom and bathroom pieces remain as luxurious as the day they arrived. Follow our simple guidelines below to maximize the lifespan of your home essentials.

Bathrobes & Towel Bundles

  • First Wash: Wash your towels and bathrobes before first use to open up the cotton fibers and unlock their maximum absorbency.

  • Washing: Machine wash in cold or warm water on a gentle cycle with like colors. Avoid overloading the washing machine, as towels need space to rinse thoroughly.

  • Detergent & Softeners: Use a mild liquid detergent. Skip fabric softeners and dryer sheets—they leave a chemical coating that reduces towel absorbency over time.

  • Drying: Tumble dry on low to medium heat. Remove promptly to maintain plushness. Avoid high heat settings, which can weaken natural cotton fibers over time.

Blankets & Woven Throws

  • Washing: Machine wash separately on a delicate, gentle cycle in cold water using a light detergent.

  • Drying: Lay flat to dry or tumble dry on the lowest heat/air-fluff setting to preserve weave tension and prevent shrinkage.

  • Storage: Store in a cool, dry place wrapped in breathable fabric bags rather than plastic containers.

Pillow Shams & Bedding Textiles

  • Washing: Wash inside out on a gentle cycle in cold water to protect delicate stitching and color vibrancy.

  • Drying & Ironing: Tumble dry low and remove while slightly damp to minimize wrinkles. Use a low-heat iron if a crisp, tailored look is desired.

General Tips for Fabric Longevity

  • Avoid Bleach & Harsh Chemicals: Never use chlorine bleach or detergents containing optical brighteners, as they degrade fibers and cause discoloration.

  • Treating Snags: If a thread pulls loose on a woven blanket or terry towel, simply clip it at fabric level with sharp scissors—never pull it.
